“The AmaWaterways family is honored and extremely grateful to have received these awards from Travel Weekly,” said Kristin Karst, AmaWaterways’ executive vice president and co-owner. “Our team works extremely hard to bring our guests the very best river cruise experience and these industry accolades are a true testament to our dedication to innovation and award-winning service.”
To expand on its industry innovation and better accommodate the needs of multigenerational travelers, the AmaViola and AmaStella both offer a new concept of adjoining twin balcony staterooms – a first in the river cruise industry - which helped the company secure a Gold for Luxury Cabin Design.
The Travel Weekly Magellan Awards sustain the momentum that AmaWaterways has built throughout 2016. Additional wins so far this year include Best River Cruise Line from Virtuoso and ExpediaCruiseShipsCenters and Best Onboard Dining and Best New Ship (AmaSerena) in River Cruising at TravelAge West’s WAVE Awards.
In addition, AmaWaterways was recognized as the American Express Cruise Supplier of the Year at The American Express Travel 2016 Preferred Supplier Forum and received the ten highest-rated ships in Europe in the 2016 edition of Berlitz: River Cruising in Europe.
