Position Summary:

This position is primarily responsible for coordinating and overseeing the successful operation of one, or more ships through the flow of information to Hotels, Ground Suppliers, and European Staff, and internally with group and sales agents by performing the following duties.

Duties & Responsibilites:

  • Works to a set Calendar of tasks for day-to-day operations.
  • Maintains hotel blocks and releases and requests space, including extra nights, and upgrades.
  • Runs reports.
  • Creates accurate manifests to convey appropriate “cruise” information and sends it to necessary suppliers, utilizing the reservation system.
  • Confirms services with ground suppliers through monthly updating of passenger numbers.
  • Maintains costing sheets per departure for costing control.
  • Generates, compiles, packages, and sends customer final documents.
  • Works with the Group department to ensure all groups run smoothly.
  • Coordinates any requests for custom services, in a timely manner and quote pricing to the end user.
  • Answer operations questions from the Reservations (Group and Free Independent Traveler (FIT)) department.
  • Works with the Air department to ensure air tickets are issued in time and accurately.
  • Negotiates with suppliers for contracted and custom services.
  • Validates online tour selection menu for each cruise.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

  • Oversees air deviations, handles requests for specific airlines, flights, and dates.
  • Assists with corporate and crew booking and ticketing when necessary.

  • Investigates and resolves debit memo issues related to air travel bookings.
  • Manages ticket refunds and lost ticket applications in accordance with established procedures.

As the Senior Manager of Data Engineering, you will design, develop, and maintain our data infrastructure, encompassing on-premises and cloud-based solutions, manage partners, and work with business leaders to design effective data-driven reporting solutions. Your expertise in database technologies, ETL processes, Salesforce data migrations, scripting, and reporting will be essential. You will collaborate closely with IT, Finance, Sales, Operations, Marketing, and BI/Analytics teams to deliver data-driven solutions that empower the business.

Duties & Responsibilites:

  • Leadership and Strategy:
    • Develop and implement the strategic vision for the enterprise data engineering, reporting, and data warehouse functions.
    • Lead and mentor a team of data professionals and agency partners, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
    • Collaborate with senior leadership to align data initiatives with business goals.
  • Data Architecture and Warehouse Management:
    • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance data warehouse architecture across Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and cloud platforms (AWS RDS, Azure SQL).
    • Implement best practices for data modeling, storage, and governance to ensure data consistency and accuracy.
    • Manage and optimize Salesforce data migrations, providing seamless integration with CRM, ERP, and other systems.
  • Data Engineering and Data Quality:
    • Design and implement optimal real-time and batch processing, ETL/ELT pipelines using SSIS, SQL, and cloud-based tools (e.g., AWS Glue, Azure Data Fabric) to automate data ingestion and transformation.
    • Develop governance and implement processes to ensure data quality, lineage, and validation across all workflows.
  • Data Reporting and Dashboard:
    • Develop and manage a comprehensive reporting and analytics framework using Tableau and PowerBI.
    • Provide actionable insights through advanced data analysis and visualization tools.
  • Business Impact & KPIs:
    • Ensure data-driven decision-making by designing scalable reporting frameworks that provide timely insights and reduce manual reporting efforts.
    • The reporting and analytics section should emphasize measurable impact, such as:
      • Improved data accessibility for decision-making
      • Reduction in data processing time
      • Cost savings through cloud optimization
  • Cloud Integration:
    • Architect and manage data solutions on AWS and Azure, leveraging services such as AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Data Lake, and Data Warehouse solutions.
    • Implement CI/CD pipelines for database and ETL deployments, integrating DevOps best practices.
    • Develop automation scripts using .NET, Python, and PowerShell.
  • Data Security & Compliance:
    • Enforce data security, governance, and compliance policies (e.g., SOX, GDPR, PCI-DSS).
    • Implement data encryption, masking, and access control policies.
    • Partner with security teams on audits, vulnerability assessments, and disaster recovery/backup strategies.
  • Collaboration & Business Support:
    • Serve as the primary data liaison between IT and business units, ensuring data solutions align with objectives.
    • Collaborate with BI, Analytics, and AI teams to support reporting, dashboards, and advanced analytics initiatives.
    • Support and troubleshoot SQL queries, stored procedures, and data integrity issues.
    • Partner with business units to understand their reporting needs and deliver customized solutions.
  • Partner Management:
    • Manage relationships with external vendors, ensuring data solutions align with business requirements, performance expectations, and cost efficiency.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Database Administration, ETL development, Marketing Analytics and Reporting, preferably for consumer brands.
  • Deep expertise in Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, AWS RDS, Azure SQL, and cloud-based database services.
  • Experience with cloud-based Data Warehousing, Big Data processing, and Data Lakes (e.g., AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse, Snowflake).
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce data migration and integration.
  • Strong experience with ETL/SSIS solutions, data integration, and transformation processes.
  • Proficiency in .NET, Python, PowerShell, or Terraform for automation and scripting.
  • Experience creating enterprise reporting dashboards and specific reports to drive insight-driven decision-making.
  • Proven ability to understand business teams' data and reporting needs, create cross-functional priorities, and establish and execute on data reporting roadmap.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of AI/ML-driven data analytics and predictive modeling.

Position Summary:

This position is primarily responsible for coordinating and overseeing the successful operation of one, or more ships through the flow of information to Hotels, Ground Suppliers, Cruise Managers, Ships and other European Staff and internally with the Los Angeles Office by performing the following duties.

Duties & Responsibilites:

Core duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following

  • Validates accuracy of cruise manifests and convey appropriate changes to suppliers while working closely with the LA Operational Team.
  • Prepares and conduct Conference Calls whenever requested by CM.
  • Ensures the Cruise Managers confirm guest counts & services with ground suppliers in the appropriate amount of time, to ensure cost control through managing said confirmed services.
  • Facilitate a constant and clear communication between the ship, CM & Ops Department with making sure that all the group/special requests reflected on the manifest are confirmed onboard.
  • Ensure that the itinerary is carried out as planned and in case of temporary disturbance (road closures, local festivities etc) the best alternative is found in terms of a minor impact to the initially advertised.
  • Coordinates a high standard delivery of any custom services onboard, coming from groups/charters or individual requests.
  • Answers operations questions from all the connected departments (Seachefs, Rivertech, Accounting etc).
  • Analyse feedback from Cruise Manager Report and Post Cruise Questionnaire, and take appropriate action.
  • Addresses praise and criticism by sending feedback to partners and suppliers & follow up with Customer Relations.
  • If Air schedules change ensures the updated air tickets have corresponding ground services confirmed, while keeping the CM and the ship in the loop. Review process with Air Team.
  • Help amend corrections required within the ACP and other software systems to ensure accurate guests e-documents, supplier COS’s and other required reports/documents. Including but not limited to maintenance within the ACP.
  • Ship Visits for quality control purposes, collecting feedbacks and proactively implementing the necessary changes whenever necessary.
  • Meets the partners (partners are Captains/Rivertech, Hotel Managers/Seachefs, Cruise Managers, DMC’s, transfer companies, Hotels and all agents, agencies that provide services to Amawaterways) to discuss current operations matters, share feedbacks and work on constant improving plans.
  • Conducts emergency management actions in case of any disruptions of the cruise itineraries.
  • Performs emergency phone duties.
  • Actively participates in all the scheduled regular meetings & itinerary reviews with bringing inputs that improve the operation.
  • Shares valuable feedbacks within the Operational team members, CMs and all respective Team Members.
  • Carries out visits, and inspections with current and prospective, or comparative Ships, Hotels, Airports, with Partners.

Expected Standards:

  • Quality control through the accurate monitoring and reporting of data to suppliers – either confirming services and passenger numbers or through accurate information on manifests and emails.
  • Managing of itineraries in emergency situations.

The language on board with the passengers is English. Therefore, an excellent knowledge of English language is compulsory.

Work Description & Primary Responsibilites:

  • Offer a minimum of 4 Sessions (30-45min) but up to 7 per day.
    • Base Classes offered for all activity level participation: Morning stretches, Active Walks, Core Strengthening, Resistance Bands, One on One (if there is a demand)
  • One educational talk/lecture
    • As well as the Introduction talk for the program at the beginning of the cruise
  • Responsible for the cleaning of the Gym Area
  • Help with the Bike Setup and assisting in being a Backup Guide on the Tours
