Calabasas, CA - (Oct. 13, 2016) -
AmaWaterways proudly announces they have received three 2016 Cruise Critic Editors’ Picks Awards in the River Cruise category, including the top honor as the “Best River Cruise Line.” AmaWaterways also received honors as “Best River Cruise for Active Cruisers” and “Best for Families” with their partnership with Adventures by Disney. Each year, the Cruise Critic Editors bring their collective cruise expertise together to select their picks for the best of the best in cruising and to curate a list honoring excellence in each category.
These honors reflect AmaWaterways’ standards of excellence to innovations both on board and on shore. Editor-in-Chief, Carolyn Spencer Brown states, “With programming that caters to families (through a new partnership with Adventures by Disney) and to the actively inclined (through tour operator Backroads), as well as art-, music- and wine-lovers, AmaWaterways has successfully drawn new passengers to river cruising, and they continue to tweak the onboard experience with specialty restaurants and new cabin configurations.”
“Being honored with three prestigious awards by the Editors’ of Cruise Critic, especially the ‘Best River Cruise Line’ in such a highly competitive river cruise landscape, makes our entire AmaWaterways family feel so incredibly proud and grateful. This is a testament to the dedication demonstrated by our staff working throughout every part of the organization to create the most exceptional and memorable experience for our guests,” said Kristin Karst, AmaWaterways’ executive vice president and co-owner.
The Cruise Critic Editors’ Picks Awards come on the heels of several other 2016 recognitions for AmaWaterways, including: ASTA River Cruise Partner of the Year; Best River Cruise Line by both Virtuoso and ExpediaCruiseShipsCenters; American Express Cruise Supplier of the Year; and Berlitz: River Cruising in Europe for having ten of the highest-rated ships.
