In a burst of happy champagne bubbles, our dear friend Michelle Fee, CEO of Cruise Planners Inc, helped us welcome the AmaSerena to the AmaWaterways fleet on August 4th in sunny Vilshofen, Germany. The lively celebration began as soon as the ship made her graceful entrance to port, and continued on through the night, ending with a grand finale of spectacular fireworks.
On this christening day, not only did we celebrate the newest member of our European fleet, but we also celebrated the wonderful relationships that led up to this fantastic event. From our godmother, Michelle Fee, representing all our incredibly supportive travel trade partners, to the city Mayor and all the wonderful people of Vilshofen, and our Europe-based Operations team. All of them had a hand in making this day a truly memorable one. It even included a song composed just for the occasion – a special surprise gift from the city of Vilshofen. We feel so fortunate to be surrounded by so many wonderful people, and excited to see what the future will bring.
