Day 3
HOI AN – HUE, VIETNAM
Board your motorcoach for your transfer from Hoi An to Hue. Along the way, we will stop at the Museum of Cham Sculpture in Da Nang. Housing the world’s largest collection of sculptures from the Champa, a Southeast Asian civilization that flourished in Vietnam between 500 and 1700 AD, this must-see museum includes more than 400 intricately carved artifacts made from sandstone, terracotta and more. After checking into your hotel, you will visit the Hue Historic Citadel, part of the UNESCO-designated Complex of Hue Monuments. Serving as the seat of the Nguyen Dynasty and the nation's capital between 1802 and 1945, this was one of the most important structures of the period before French conquest. The site boasts a moat that surrounds the fortified wall and ten ornate gates that protect the palace, temples, gardens and tombs within. In the evening, be treated to a royal dinner at the Ancient Hue restaurant. (B,D)
