CALABASAS, Calif. – (October 24, 2023) Award-winning luxury river cruise line AmaWaterways today released the printed and digital editions of its 2025 Brochure, providing a glimpse into what is poised to be the most exceptional year in the company’s history. Featuring the introduction of two state-of-the-art ships, AmaMelodia in Colombia and AmaSintra in Portugal, as well as a diverse range of new and returning European river cruise experiences, the brochure is now available to order in print or for digital download on AmaWaterways’ website.

“2025 is expected to be our most exciting year yet, with two new ships and a variety of new vacation experiences designed to please guests of all ages. We are delighted to release this new brochure as inspiration and a guide to our travel advisors and their clients who have already begun planning memorable trips in 2025 with family and friends,” said Kristin Karst, executive vice president and co-founder of AmaWaterways. “Our 2025 sailing season truly has something for everyone, from the history and culture of Europe to the unexplored splendor of Colombia. We are looking forward to creating unforgettable memories with seasoned AmaWaterways travelers and first-timers alike.”

Two New Ships: AmaMelodia and AmaSintra

In June 2025, AmaWaterways will launch its second ship in Colombia, AmaMelodia, offering travelers additional opportunities to experience two mesmerizing seven-night itineraries, Wonders of Colombia and Magic of Colombia, guiding them along the Magdalena River between the captivating cities of Cartagena and Barranquilla. Similar to AmaMagdalena, her sistership launching November 2024, AmaMelodia will welcome 64 guests with spacious twin-balcony staterooms, spanning 237 square feet.  A refreshing Sun Deck pool, fitness room, nail salon and a new al fresco dining experience are complemented by the rich Colombian-inspired décor, festive spirit and warm service that AmaWaterways is known for. Itinerary highlights include exclusive experiences like Carnaval Celebration in Barranquilla, Jazz Street Performance in Mompox and Cumbia Performance in El Banco, pre- and post-cruise land packages in Cartagena, Medellín and Panama City add to the overall enjoyment of this new river cruise destination.

AmaWaterways will also introduce the all-new AmaSintra, sister ship to AmaDouro, into its European fleet in Portugal in 2025. AmaSintra will sail two seven-night itineraries along the picturesque Douro River, including the Enticing Douro, which sails roundtrip to Porto, and the Flavors of Portugal & Spain, which sails from Porto to Vega de Terron, with a reverse itinerary option. Aboard AmaSintra, travelers can indulge in renowned wines amid the sun-kissed vineyards of Port Country, savor the distinct flavors of Portuguese and Spanish cuisine and immerse themselves in the vibrant cultures of charming villages and historical cities throughout the journey.

Returning guests will love the new Imperial Danube seven-night itinerary embarking and disembarking in the vibrant city of Budapest. Besides having more time to discover the nightlife of captivating Budapest and romantic Vienna, guests are able to sit back and take in the scenic daytime cruising through the Danube Bend and Wachau Valley while later enjoying bike rides, regional wine tasting and visits to historic abbeys.

In response to an increased demand for more extensive travel experiences, AmaWaterways is pleased to bring back the popular Magnificent Europe 14-night itinerary. An enriching voyage, between Amsterdam and Budapest, traces the path of emperors and royalty, while traversing the Continental Divide across the Danube, Main and Rhine rivers. Full details are in the 2025 Brochure. Dates and prices on three new 14-night itineraries: Grand Seine & Bordeaux, Grand Seine & Rhône and Grand Rhine & Dutch Canals are available on AmaWaterways website.

"Following a phenomenal year in 2023, we are thrilled by the level of reservations coming in for the upcoming 2024 season, and equally pleased to get an early start on our 2025 river cruise reservations,” added Karst. “With the invaluable assistance and insights from our cherished travel advisor community, we've expanded our offerings to cater to our guests' desires and are happy to offer everyone the choice of learning more about our programs with our beautiful 2025 Brochure either in print or digital version."
